Implementing Project 2

It was a little bit frustrating to implement the second project because after trying to understand the design made by the team of the University of DePaul, we did not have a clear understanding of all the classes. In my opinion, the team that made the design did not have a good communication and the result was a poor design with contradictions in various places.
I think the leader made a good job trying to make the team work nevertheless we could not get to the optimal result because I think that the design even well implemented would not get to the result wanted by the specifications.
I still do not have any communication with the professor Ed so I do not know if what I am doing is correct or it is not. I would really like to know how have I done in all the previous assignments. It has been lots of time since the fist assignment and we still do not have any feedback.

Finally, some mates and me have experienced some trouble with Perforce I think it is sometimes unstable or does not work as expected.

Evaluation of the first project

i think we did a god job in this first project. we have to take into consideration that the communication between the University of DePaul and us is very poor. The only way of communication is when another task or project is already posted. we still do not know if we are working correctly because we have not even get our grades from the first assignment. I think that having our grades would be really useful for us. On the other hand, I was able to understand the code that we had to analyze  and the unit test was not as difficult as I thought it would be.

the leader?

I was supposed to be the leader in this first project but I think that it was not that necessary because everyone did their job in the pre-assigned time so I did not have to be communicating with any member to tell him to hurry up with his job. I think that we all know how to work in teams.

Another issue that this project left me is to be always aware of due dates and work to be done for those due dates. I learnt that I always have to be updated with all the advances otherwise I will be making all the team to waste time and the possible consequence could be not to get the work done on time.

Reflexion of first project

After this first project I can see the diverse problems that come from working with a completely new team. It is sometimes really difficult to get everyone updated with the tasks to do. About the code, I had never worked before with C++ and I am still learning all the different features of this language. On the other hand, it was not the first time that I worked with unit tests so, it was not that difficult to complete my work.  Furthermore, understanding the code was not that difficult because it was perfectly well documented so I could read all the things that my assigned classes did.

First project completion

I have just completed the unit tests for the first Project and I still think that there are some problems in communication with the University of De Paul. All members in my university still do not have access to the video and the lectures. Whenever there is a problem with the code or so we try to look for help in the wikis and all they say is check the notes or something like “like we saw in class” the thing is that we can’t see those classes.

First project

During the first project we are going to be working in testing I think it is going to be a little bit hard because we don not have enough time to work as a group. I think a lot more of support from our school or from Depaul University would be really helpful because sometimes I just get to know that we have to be working on something when I see some people wondering about the assignments posted.

I would really like to have an online meeting every monday or so to get in touch with the profesor in Chicago; that meeting would be really useful for me and I think all of my team.

First entry

Hello everyone!!!!

this is my first entry right now i am dealing with the installation of Perforce and i am also planning to get the C++ program running tonight. I have been really busy these days and that is way i have not had time to post this before. i am really excited about this project lets see how it work out.
